Using "Groups" in Hipmob

We developed Groups, so that you could quickly route customers to the right people in your business, who could quickly solve whatever problem they have. Here's how to use it

Set Up
1. In the dashboard, go to your "Agents" tab: https://manage.hipmob.com/#admin
2. Select "Groups" as shown below:

3. Select "Add a Group":

4. In the popup:
  • Name the group
  • Add a "Tag". Tags are how your agents can transfer conversations between groups
  • Select "Create"


And you're done! Now you've created a group, you can set up specific apps or websites to send all conversations to that group, and you can start transferring conversations between groups!

As a note: If no members of a group are present, the conversation reverts back to the whole team.


Routing conversations to specific groups.

1. In the dashboard, go to the "My Apps" tab: https://manage.hipmob.com/#apps
2. Select "Settings"

3. Under the "Details" section (as shown below):
  • Select one of your groups in the Dropdown (as shown below)
  • Select "Update"


And you're done!! 

Set up is complete, and you can transfer conversations to a group using the following shortcut command:

#transferto <Group Name>
